 Are you a Pakistani student dreaming of pursuing your Master’s or Doctoral degree in South Korea fully funded? The wait is over! The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has officially announced the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduate Degrees.

This is one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world, covering your tuition, airfare, and living expenses. However, the application window is incredibly short this year. You have less than two weeks to apply!

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2026 GKS Graduate Program (Embassy Track), you must meet the following requirements:

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of Pakistan.
  • Age: Must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1986).
  • Education:
    • For Master’s: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
    • For Doctoral: Must hold a Master’s degree.
  • Grades: Must have a GPA of at least 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0 (Score percentile of 80% or higher).
  • Health: Must be in good health, both mentally and physically.

Scholarship Benefits

The GKS program is fully funded and provides the following financial support:

  • Tuition: 100% covered (University admission fees waived).
  • Airfare: Round-trip economy class ticket (Pakistan ⇄ Korea).
  • Monthly Stipend: 1,000,000 KRW (approx. $750 USD) per month.
  • Settlement Allowance: 200,000 KRW (one-time upon arrival).
  • Medical Insurance: Fully covered.
  • Language Training: 1 Year of free Korean language training.
  • Degree Completion Grant: 100,000 KRW (upon successful graduation).

Programs Offered

  • Master’s Program: 3 Years (1 Year Language + 2 Years Degree)
  • Doctoral Program: 4 Years (1 Year Language + 3 Years Degree)

How to Apply (Embassy Track)

The application process for 2026 is strictly online via the Study in Korea Integrated System.

  1. Create an Account: Register on the official portal.
  2. Fill the Application: Complete the online form carefully.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload all required documents (Transcripts, Degrees, Recommendation Letters, Personal Statement, Study Plan).
  4. Check University Requirements: Some universities may require extra documents (like portfolios). Confirm this and submit them if needed.

Important Note: The Pakistan Embassy Track has a quota of 8 students. Competition is high, so ensure your documents are perfect.
